Love
O SON OF BEING! Love Me, that I may love thee. If thou
lovest Me not, My love can in no wise reach thee.
Know this, O servant
. (Bahá'u'lláh)

Love gave me hope when I was down
Picked me up and turned me around
Gave me strength to carry on
Face my battles head on
That’s what love did for me, it saved me from misery
Love opened my eyes and I’m so thankful

Love like a rose that blooms in spring
Picks me up and makes me sing
And I’ll give thanks all my days
Serve mankind and give God the praise
That’s what love did for me, it saved me from misery
Love opened my eyes and I’m so thankful

Like the rays of the Sun, God’s love shines on everyone
We just need to come out of the dark
Pray to God and open our hearts

O SON OF BEING! Love Me, that I may love thee. If thou
lovest Me not, My love can in no wise reach thee.
Know this, O servant.
He Who is your Lord
He Who is your Lord, the All-Merciful, cherisheth in His heart the
desire of beholding the entire human race as one soul and one body.

Haste ye to win your share of God's good grace and mercy in this
Day that eclipseth all other created Days.

How great the felicity that awaiteth the man that forsaketh all he hath
in a desire to obtain the things of God! Such a man, We testify, is
among God's blessed ones.
 (Bahá'u'lláh)

In the Beauty of the garden, many colors there to see,
Black and white and brown and red and yellow pretty roses,
a picture of humanity
Year of Sunday
We all live in the Year of Sunday, so many things are in store for us.
Oh what a gift to be born in Sunday's beautiful light way down here in the dusk.
People, return to the tree of oneness, oh won't you hurry the Presence is there.
Down on our knees in the darkness of Sunday, we'll find the answers to all of our prayers.
And then everyday will be Sunday, for you and me. How I pray! How I pray!
God made a pact with Abraham, never leave a man alone.
So Abraham gathered his family, and brought his people home.
Along came Moses, gave the world a push, climbed upon a mountain high.
He got the Ten Commandments from a burning bush and put together his first tribe.
Then came Jesus to Jerusalem, ridin' on His shoulder a dove.
The dove upon his shoulder said he was the One, the One to teach us how to love!
Mohammed stayed out in the desert sun, stayed out there just as long as he could.
The Maker gave him water from the River of Life, and then he gave us nationhood.
And then time passed, soon the dark clouds, came and covered up Mohammed's sun.
But the young Ba¡b, down in Persia land, came to tell us of the Promised One.

Lo, the Nightingale of Paradise singeth upon the twigs of the Tree of Eternity, with holy and sweet melodies,
proclaiming to the sincere ones the glad tidings of the nearness of God
 (Bahá'u'lláh)

Bahá’u’lláh! Bahá’u’lláh! Bahá’u’lláh! Bahá’u’lláh!

We all live in the Year of Sunday, so many things are in store for us.
Oh what a gift to be born in Sunday's beautiful light way down here in the dusk.
We all live in the Year of Sunday, so many things are in store for us.
Oh what a gift to be born in Sunday's beautiful light way down here in the dusk. . ..
Broken-Winged Bird Prayer
O God! O God! This is a broken-winged bird and his flight is very slow -
assist him so that he may fly toward the apex of prosperity and salvation,
wing his way with the utmost joy and happiness throughout the
illimitable space, raise his melody in Thy Supreme Name in all the
regions, exhilarate the ears with this call, and brighten the eyes
by beholding the signs of guidance.

O Lord! I am single, alone and lowly. For me there is no support save
Thee, no helper except Thee and no sustainer beside Thee. Confirm me in
Thy service, assist me with the cohorts of Thy angels, make me
victorious in the promotion of  188  Thy Word and suffer me to speak out
Thy wisdom amongst Thy creatures. Verily, Thou art the helper of the
weak and the defender of the little ones, and verily Thou art the Powerful,
the Mighty and the Unconstrained.
  - 'Abdu'l-Bahá
'Abdu'l-Bahá
From the time he was a little boy
There was always an inner joy
A joy that was born from the love of God
The first to recognize Bahá'u'lláh

'Abdu'l-Bahá,    'Abdu'l-Bahá

Taunted and teased
And chased all through the streets
They said he’d lost His faith in the one true God
Because his Father believed in the Bab

'Abdu'l-Bahá,    'Abdu'l-Bahá
'Abdu'l-Bahá,    'Abdu'l-Bahá

Pelted with stones, his family chased out of their homes
His Father locked in chains, yet he withstood all the pain
Banished in disgrace, his family sent from place to place
For 77 long years he gave his life and
His love For all Mankind

Repeat 1st verse and 2nd chorus
Refresh and Gladden My Spirit
O God! Refresh and gladden my
spirit. Purify my heart. Illumine my
powers. I lay all my affairs in Thy
hand. Thou art my Guide and my
Refuge. I will no longer be sorrowful
and grieved; I will be a happy and
joyful being. O God! I will no longer
be full of anxiety, nor will I let trouble
harass me. I will not dwell on the
unpleasant things of life.
O God! Thou art more friend to me
than I am to myself. I dedicate
myself to Thee, O Lord.
'Abdu'l-Bahá
God Sufficeth
Say: God sufficeth all things
above all things, and nothing in
the heavens or in the earth but
God sufficeth. Verily, He is in
Himself the Knower, the
Sustainer, the Omnipotent.
- The Bab
Not Everything
Not everything that a man
knoweth can be disclosed, nor
can everything that he can
disclose be regarded as timely,
nor can every timely utterance
be considered as suited to the
capacity of those who hear it.
(Bahá'u'lláh)
Shoghi Effendi
Shoghi Effendi, Shoghi Effendi

Behold! he is the blest and sacred bough that hath
branched out from the Twin Holy Trees. Well is it with
him that seeketh the shelter of his shade that
shadoweth all mankind.
  (Abdu'l-Baha)

Oh how I love him, he’s the Guardian of the Cause
He is the priceless pearl that sparkles in my life
He is the fire that keeps me warm,
He is a shelter in the time of storm

Steadfast In His Love
Sometimes I’m up, sometimes I’m down
Sometimes I smile, sometimes I wear a frown
Sometimes I’m right, sometimes I’m wrong
Sometimes I’m weak, sometimes I’m strong

It really doesn’t matter how I’m feeling
Cause I know my purpose in life
And that’s to know and love God, and be a service to mankind
Recognize His Messenger, and be steadfast in His love

Sometimes I work, sometimes I play
Sometimes I worry, sometimes I pray
Then I take my burdens, to the Lord and leave them there
Doesn’t matter where I am, cause God is everywhere

It really doesn’t matter where I’m going
Cause I know my purpose in life
And that’s to know and love God, and be a service to mankind
Recognize His Messenger, and be steadfast in His love

I can use the energy, born from my tests and difficulties
That I have in my life each day
And direct it towards a higher goal
That benefits my body and my soul
Then I can share my joy with all mankind

It really doesn’t matter how I’m feeling
Cause I know my purpose in life
And that’s to know and love God, and be a service to mankind
Recognize His Messenger, and be steadfast in His love
Thy Name Is My Healing
Thy name is my healing, O my God, and remembrance of Thee
is my remedy. Nearness to Thee is my hope, and love for Thee
is my companion. Thy mercy to me is my healing and my
succor in both this world and the world to come. Thou, verily,
art the All-Bountiful, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise.
Bahá'u'lláh
Prayer For the Departed
O my God! O Thou forgiver of sins, bestower of gifts,
dispeller of afflictions! Verily, I beseech Thee to forgive the
sins of such as have abandoned the physical garment and
have ascended to the spiritual world. O my Lord! Purify them
from trespasses, dispel their sorrows, and change their
darkness into light. Cause them to enter the garden of
happiness, cleanse them with the most pure water, and
grant them to behold Thy splendors on the loftiest mount.
- 'Abdu'l-Bahá
Preacher Man
Sunday morning got to get up, get ready,
Shine my shoes for myself and for my Daddy
Press my pants eat a big bowl of cornflakes,
and nobody else could make the pancakes
my Mama made, Everything according to plan,
cause my Daddy was a preacher man

At the storefront with the whole congregation,
Daddy preachin’ the book of Revelation
Me and mama we would sing in the choir,
when church was all done you know
your soul had traveled higher,
Everything according to plan,
cause my Daddy was a preacher man

When daddy spoke to the people, everybody answered amen
He talked about his young days in the red hills of Geogia
And how he was saved back then

Home for dinner and the brothers come visit,
TV baseball you know we never missed it
Plenty chicken and a pitcher of Kool-Aid,
and nobody else could make the cornbread
my mama made, Everything according to plan,
cause my Daddy was a preacher man

You oughta see Daddy struttin’ in the pulpit, lettin’ the music
get in his bones He jumped and said Oh Lord save my soul,
help me get my work done

And then my Daddy looked out to the people,
he said I lift my hands unto the hills
from whence cometh my help,
and he said if I withdraw myself from thee,
Oh tell me where can I go

Everything according to plan,
cause my Daddy was a preacher man
Unite The Hearts
O my God! O my God! Unite the hearts of Thy
servants, and reveal to them Thy great purpose. May
they follow Thy commandments and abide in Thy
law. Help them, O God, in their endeavor, and grant
them strength to serve Thee. O God! Leave them not
to themselves, but guide their steps by the light of
Thy knowledge, and cheer their hearts by Thy love.
Verily, Thou art their Helper and their Lord.
